EAST MIDLANDS - 6

Yes, don't get too excited over bmibaby/Germanwings. It's not even a code-share, only a website-forward (as WW did with the EMA-CGN flight, forwarding to BD's website). 4U hasn't added the WW routes into the route network map. No new routes we haven't heard about before, especially no additional Germanwings flights from the UK to their home bases (CGN, STR, SXF). And I'd still be very surprised to see a 4U A319/320 actually landing at EMA. Adding at least a EMA-CGN or BHX-CGN, they could offer all their connections via CGN, but no. Yes, I know, routes from the Midlands to Cologne were tried many a time and never worked. Good news for BE at BHX as they have less competition.

Ryanair have announced a few routes for Summer 2010 now;
Girona = Daily
Limoges = 4x Weekly
Valencia = 4x Weekly
Reus = 3x Weekly
Carcassonne = 4x Weekly
Milan = 4x Weekly
Malaga = 8x Weekly (extra saturday flight)
Murcia = 8x Weekly (extra saturday flight)
Marrakesh = 2x Weekly (new)
Rome = 3x Weekly
Ibiza = 3x Weekly
Palma = 4x Weekly
Dinard = 4x Weekly
Pisa = 4x Weekly
Faro = 4x Weekly
Nantes = 3x Weekly
Tenerife = 3x Weekly
Bergerac = 3x Weekly
Looking at flights at the end of May, 6 aircraft are currently needed on a Saturday, just with this selection of flights...
Is a 7th aircraft possible?
Also suprised ALC hasn't been released yet

Bus to EMA
Can anybody help with the best way to get to EMA from Nottingham train station. I believe there is a shuttle bus or something similar. Also, how long the journey takes.

Shuttle bus Nottingham
I've not used the Nottingham shuttle for a while, but it
was quite ok back then, timetabled journey time 45min
but probably a bit shorter outside of rush-hour, runs
every 30min:
Nottingham Timetable
Don't really see the point to change to the St. Pancras train
for 'East Midlands Parkway' station, which is interestingly ignored
on EMA's 'how-to-get-there' site. Infrequent shuttles were
the problem ? Total travel time anyway is not faster than
the Nottingham shuttle, just more hassle. Check here:
east midlands - Trip Request - English
For your return: EMA shuttles have this nice colour-coding:
Yellow: Derby and Loughburough, Green: Leicester, Blue:
Nottingham, all departing outside Departures these days.

Don't think so!
Rail connections to East Midlands Parkway Station
East Midlands Parkway opened on Monday 26 January 2009. For trains stopping at Parkway check National Rail Enquiries. Passengers can connect to Parkway on the Railink bus which operates every 30 minutes from 7am to 11.30pm.

EMA by public transport
Many thanks for your kind replies. Does anybody know what the charge for the shuttle bus is from East Midlands Parkway station to EMA?
Thanks again.

Acknowledged.
But I stand by my opinion that using 'East Midlands Parkway' station is just more hassle and won't be faster than the direct shuttle-bus from Nottingham. I mean every 30min is not that frequent. But sure, doesn't really matter if you only go to EMA once.

update to 19/10/09 stuart travel
Ryanair now added dub for may 2010 sat miday flight and bhd now 07.30am -10.05 return so the 09.25 dep to agp not from the dub/bhd flights must be a new 2,5hr flight to added.
With the bhd now added that will make 8 aircraft based.

I believe that Krakow will follow the 10:05 BHD flight from a source I have heard from today, however, is not for certain, AGP may be moved back
I can almost guarantee that FR wont announce ORK, bmibaby operate the route now 4 times a week, they will do the job perfectly
