There was allegedly an e - mail copied to selected wannabes by the TM to UM in somewhat direct terms resulting in a parting of the ways. Since a lot of hopes and aspirations rested on the TMs pedigree ( Crundale, 15 March post) these rumours, if true, may have significant consequences. Does not the TM owe it to those who placed their faith in his appointment to clarify the situation? At least to say whether he is still associated or not?The website appears to be gone..which may mean something - or nothing at all.

I have met U.M. recently and he told me they want to srart on june 17.I asked him if they had already obtained an AOC the answer was yes. I doubt this is true, there is not a single evidence that this is going to be a serious start up.

It seems that UM is setting up an aviation empire. He has also said that he has bought Italy First for its AOC.

I have had a lot of dealings with UM over the set up of the airline in SNN, and I can tell while he is very well intentioned (it appears anyway) he is going about everything the wrong way.
He has played his cards very close to his chest with those he has employed, and is very single minded on how things should be done and does not entertain comments in the form of constructive critism, in fact I know of at least 3 senior persons who had been on board at the beginning that left on less then amicable terms after questioning the way forward. Had he followed the advice of those he employeed for advice initially, he may have had an airline up and running today?!
I myself gave up a very senior post in the company as it was too hard to get reality through to UM.
My advice to anyone, is to take a cautious approach to this company.

Sorry for any spelling errors, can't find the spell checker

Take your point backtofront - but have just been watching the Ireland game with a mate of mine over few lagers and he says he's off to Italy on June 21st for a pilot's meeting - not sure if he saud it was in Rome or Florence. Anyway hes off there with a contract for a fulltime jobbb based in Italy. he got EMail from the boss out there a vcouple offf days ago.
Scuse spelling but had to celebrate with him or was it feel sorry for him and Irish team

Ciao

A new Director of Operations. Start date now 'to be advised'. AOC not yet obtained. Aircraft sourcing under review, not yet agreed.

This information is, so far as I can verify it, accurate. I have no further comment!

AOC not yet obtained....now this appears to be very true considering the fact that there is not even an application for an AOC with any CAA...

Did the planned pilot meeting, a couple of months ago, ever take place in Italy?

The meeting did go ahead. It was realised that no AOC was obtained to date and no aircraft.
Basically the guys waiting for jobs had realised that they are wasting their time.

McGoldrick Starts again

Viking 9 - Ciao-fly have ceased operations - no great suprise.

Better news is, I have heard (on great authority) that PJ McGoldrick has bought a new irish airline called EU-JetOps. This airline currently only has exec aircraft operations. Understand that PJ is pulling together a management team and rumour is that he is already negotiating deals on A320 / A321 - TLA guys - we're back!!

I am fairly certain on this info, but has anyone else heard anything???

Yes I know CIAOFLY have ceased operations, but equally Millenium haven't even started and are not likely to either.... hence why I said are they one and the same company

I too worked for PJ back in 1992 when the diesel 8's were plying the world's airways..... I'd go back but I don't think the ball and chain would appreciate it

There has been a report that Capt. M has been jailed on fraud charges.
His web site is down.
I did meet some of his FO`s which paid for their training and where now taking legal action against him.

Good to see the authorities taking action against these scams which take money from people which are desperate for jobs!!!

Cpt M. (Star&Stripes)

I herd the same but I can't find any confirmation. As far as you know, is this legal action going in Italy or in Ireland? I am one of great idiots who waste his money and time and I would be glad to inform my lawyer of what is going on to the gentelman we are talking about.
Thank for all the information you can give me.
