Congradulations INLAK on the the job offer!!!
But a few considerations:
1. Do not pay money upfront they do not have a AOC and it
is not arriving on the 1 st June as the gentleman claims.
2. BALPA and the contracting companies are advising to take extreme caution with this company.
3. Ring the Irish aviation authorty, their version is different from what Ugo claims. The manuals haven`t even been submitted. Then it`s a 4-6 month process in practical terms.
SO, if it starts great.
BUT don`t pass up any other jobs for it.

highfly...this is all very much correct, but didn't other outfits start also without own AOC...in one case I recall it was used for about 12 years...and was very satisfying for all parties involved.
Nonetheless...a careful approach is always recommended.

FL310, seems like you are either an eternal optimist or a secret insider!!
I gather there will be a charge for a differences course for the RJ? Is it all RJ or is thee a 146/RJ mix?
I think I`ll tread carefully on this one, but lets see what happens!

The 146-300 is planned to substitute the Avro until they are deliverd. There is no intention to operate a mixed fleet.
Intentions are to have an Avro RJ fleet but due to delays of all sorts there is of course Plan B active right now.
It is amazing how much rubbish is thrown in here without refering to anything from the contract. Why are the people holding this paper in their hands are not commenting...because it is not as bad as some try to guess here. I DO NOT HAVE THAT PIECE OF PAPER! I only had the chance to read it and I have some info which I do not hold back if people ask.
No, I am not an insider.
Inlak, without optimism I could not survive, could you?

The fact is thereare very few people who know what is going on.
I had 2 E-mails from 2 different people in the company saying totally different things. I will not pay for a differences course, ever, nor wiil I sign anything until I am sure this company is okay.

Anybody got anymore news on this one?
I`ve received the contract, and read it. I`m not sure what to make of it, it`s not exactly what I`d call a "professional looking" piece of paperwork.

The latest info going around is that they are now starting on the 7 July.
But if you speak to the Authority which is issuing the AOC, it will be months before it will be issued. I hope there are no trusting pilots handing money over for this job, you could get burnt.
When you start puting all the stories together, they just don`t fit.

The contract I have seen is in two parts. Part 1 appears to have been written at least originally by an English lawyer and refers to various Legislation which is, so far as I know, English law.It does, however, state that it is written in Irish Law. Part 2 of the contract appears to have been written using a PC based translation programme. It is less than straightforward to understand the true meaning. There have been previous references on this site to ex - Woodford people being involved in executive posts . Could they ( assuming they were indeed and still are involved ) or someone please give us answers to these very simple questions...
1. Which State will Issue the AOC and when. Which aircraft types will be specified.
2. Where will the simulator training be done and when. A previous post regarding cancellations seems to correspond with the facts.
Also interesting ( bit of no particular consequence)
4 DH has apparently gone to go ( sic). Are WC and AR involved?
5. Can you recommend the Holiday Inn in Manchester for writing operations manuals? Will horse charters be included?

When I last spoke to WC he was still very optimistic and waiting for the final details about the aeroplanes. Since than a few things obviously got altered so as DH disappearing and start-date postponed. Latest was that also WC is involved somewhere else now. The horse charter would be entertaining so....
FL310....''somewhere else''. In keeping with the best principles of JAR - FCL a few multi choice answers for you....choose one..
1. Manama
2. Rinas.
3. Sir Seretse Khama
4. All of the above are correct
5. None of the above are correct.
According to the answers does this perhaps suggest modified optimism? Or realism?
