Fire at LHR

Many congratulations to the LHR Fire Service! We watched today as they attended a burning de-iceing rig at Terminal 1 at Heathrow. With the whole cab engulfed in flames, they were on the scene within 2 minutes and the flames were out within 10 seconds! Very reassuring to see how quickly the foam works 'for real' instead of just spraying the '747star' by the hangars!
Hope no one was hurt and well done to the bmi Captain for spotting the flames and reporting it.

sorry i should rephrase that.its good to see them being put to use, because surely sitting in the airport all day with not a lot to do must be quite demoralising...i know it is on airport standby...

They do get called out a number of times a day to be honest so they aren't just sat there.
