What chance is there for reinstating MAN - AMS ....... or would that upset KLM who launched a similar service ? Rumour has it that in return for reduced competition on the MAN route, KLM gave up LHR slots to the big carrier with the stripey tail

no need for that. Have you forgotten this is a rumour network?
Plenty of time later for growing up.
If you get so upset with what gets printed here then go play elsewhere.
Cheers.

The point of my post was that TO post something on this
rumour network the person has to have some knowledge of
what he/she is on about.
Volmets post was totally off the mark on every point as if it had
been invented in a spare moment.
Starting threads just for the sake of it seems somewhat daft
to me.....oh hang on a rumour has just occured to me now.....
Ryanair will take-over British Airways - see thats a brill rumour,I
must start a thread right away....!!!
Did Volmet not think about the post before he sent it ! if he had
he would realise that BA are not in the business of helping others
on certain routes.....and he made no mention of Jet2 on the route,
why not !!!! theyve been on it going on two years ....
Hope this helps

MM. Perhaps if you reviewed the load factors prior to the Man - Ams route being axed, you too would start asking questions. Please don't sacrifice your dignity for the sake of a cheap insult.

Fact 1 KLM use F70 [rarely], F100 [sometimes], B737-300/400/700/900 [usually]
Fact 2 Jet2 use B737-300/400
Fact 3 BAW used to use E145 [usually] DHC8 [sometimes]
Now, who would [B]you[B] prefer to fly with?
we aim to please,it keeps the cleaners happy

and Fact 4, a straw poll from someone who travelled on the BA MAN-AMS flights before their demise (and had colleagues doing the same) would suggest that it finishing was not a surprise - achieving 50% load factor was unusual apart from Mon morning and Friday night.

I do not know why you are all getting so het up. BA Connect will still find it hard to make a go of it with a/c that seem unsuited for any low costs routes? Futhermore they hardly amount to real new 'new' routes.

Chiglet,
Give me the super little ERJ145 over anybody's 737/F70/F100 anytime! Speed of getting on/off, perfectly ample legroom etc once you've sat down, and 66% of seats are by the window.

This is a waste of time even mentioning this but they could have Glasgow-Paris or Frankfurt with the ERJ-145 with no competition.........
Just a thought. Used to fly CDG with a 111 twice the size.
