0901 GMT [Dow Jones]--Air France-KLM (3112.FR) shares trade at three-and-a-half year high of EUR19.41, up 2.2% on back of solid January traffic data. London-based air transport analyst says nearly 10% passenger traffic growth "is in line with what we've seen from them" and continues Air France-KLM's out-performing of British Airways (BAB) and Deutsche Lufthansa (LHA.XE). Air France Jan passenger traffic up 9.5 pct, load factor up 1.0 pt to 79.0 pct (AFX UK Focus) 2006-02-07 07:25 GMT:

PARIS (AFX) - Air France-KLM said passenger traffic in January was up 9.5 pct from a year earlier on an 8.1 pct rise in capacity, while the load factor rose 1.0 percentage point to 79.0 pct.
The carrier carried 5.437 mln passengers, up 6.9 pct on the year.
European passenger traffic was up 6.2 pct on a capacity rise of 3.9 pct, with the load factor up 1.4 points to 63.0 pct.
Traffic in the Americas rose 13.9 pct on a 13.5 pct rise in capacity, with the load factor up 0.3 point to 83.9 pct.
Traffic in Asia rose 12.5 pct on a capacity rise of 9.2 pct, with the load factor up 2.5 points to 84.5 pct.
African and Middle Eastern traffic rose 11.3 pct on a 10.6 pct rise in capacity, with the load factor up 0.5 point to 78.9 pct.
Caribbean and Indian Ocean traffic was down 0.7 pct on an 0.5 pct rise in capacity, with the load factor down 1.0 point to 86.1 pct. Cargo activity showed a 2.2 pct rise in traffic on a 4.0 pct rise in capacity, with load factor down 1.1 points to 62.2 pct. [email protected] mjs/jlw
