Question VLM Newcastel

I just checked VLM website. According to the website VLM is flying from Newcastle. Does anybody now more about this?

It look like it is for London City. When you click on "Newcastle" the only airport in the "to" box is for London City.

I went forward to attempt a booking, but at the flight time selection screen it was blank and Newcastle had removed itself from the destinations list!

Very good ! I haven't done a lot of Newcastle pax trips recently but last year did a whole lot and had to slog up to Stansted for the quite limited EZY service, which had just one delay too many (a contrast to my experience with them over to Belfast).

Was a shame VLM didn't do the Leeds route last year. If they had I feel it would still be around.

Will they manage to get 5 roundtrips a day from Newcastle with one aircraft ?

When this route was first discussed, it seemed to be between either VLM or Eastern for this summer....provisional timings showed 4x daily for Eastern against 3 x daily for VLM, both to be confirmed, which of course never happened. Whether VLM will stick to the 3 x daily as a starting point, who knows. Presumably, Eastern will drop out of the running if VLM flies the route, can't see them going head to head.
