I take it when you wrote this you were high on drugs . You should look at the flywho thread within this site and then re-think your post.

June passenger figure - a stunner

Virtually everybody connected or interested in BHX knew that this was going to be a bad month even before the TNT incident but :-

"Birmingham International Airport handled 891,087 passengers during June, a big fall of 7.2 per cent on the same period last year".

For the second month running it has not been posted on the bhx
website first (too embarrassed?)

I am not sure of the TNT loss but certainly no more than 30k, which
still means over 30k lost.

The article blames the TNT and World Cup, which is a total insult. Yes true in part but not the whole story.

Loads have allegedly improved but it is July and to be expected.

Probably one of the most disappointing monthly results for pax for
years.

BHX Passengers Figures

Aug,Sept and Oct are no going to be any better one thinks

By the way the world cup was only shown on TV in the Birmingham area ( NOT )

This is the second summer reduction in 3 years, some serious questions need to be asked by the Senior Management team about performance and policy.

It would be interesting to see the operating Profit/Loss for BHX compared to other airports that have attracted Easy and Ryanir etc.

I've grown to like BHX. I managed to get off my EI flight, and head up to check-in for my CO flight in less than 10 mins! It was great!

My guess is that it'll be somewhere in France or Spain, probably somewhere that's already on the bmi group network. If it's not, it'll certainly be bmibaby thinking "outside the box" but hopefully won't be a standalone route which will be launched with much fanfare then quietly having frequencies reduced before being ultimately dropped as we've seen so many times before.

BHX

Simple, BHX hasnt attracted the expansive Easy Jet and shunned Ryanair with its over priced fees. The facts are starting to bite now. Monarch only serve charter destinations further undermining BHX former strong charter traffic, BMI Baby havent expanded this year at all. BACON are will be head-to-head with Flybe on 3 routes BHD,HAJ and ABZ someone will be the looser there! New destinations are whats needed and another US link. I have it from good authority that AA ORD may be on the cards again! Forget the FlyWhos it wont happen. Major airlines should be looking at BHX Britains second city so why arnt they?
