Air Atlanta Icelandic CEO leaving

According to news, Omar Benediktson CEO of AAI (former CEO of Islandsflug) is leaving just a few months into the merger of the two airlines. A few key personnel, including the Director Flt Ops are rumoured to be leaving with him. Ex Islandsflug guys do not have a good feeling about this. Apparently the nouveau riche chairman of Avion Group is a difficult fella to work with... having realised he did not do a very good deal when he bought AAI in the first place...

Thank you for the Citybird Mafia , I am one of them...
We have always tried to do everything we possibly could to keep the Airbus sector running to the utmost extend of our possibilities but of course there will always be people who do not appreciate what others do .
I suppose you do not like the group of Belgians on the Airbus sector because they are not in the Icelandic Union, they would love to be on that system but of course it is not so evident .
I can say that we sincerely regret the merger and the attitude of a couple of pilots who like to spread rumors that we are a mafia trying to take the company down .When you came and did your training on the Airbus think of anyone who tried to take you down or push you out and if you find someone let me know.this merger is the worst thing that happened lately with the now the departure of Mr Omar Ben.I am sure you wish we were on the worst possible working conditions just to make yourself feel important and above others but this kind of attitude is only taking you down in the long run along with all others ,if you could put your misplaced pride on the side for a couple of minutes and look forward and think positively you would probably change your position and revise your judgement we are not here to ruine everything but only to try to keep a little bit of decency on the part of what you call the"contract pilots"those same pilots you would like to see dissapear from your work evironement instead of trying to find a common solution suiting all parties ,the union the people and of course the company.
