RET 15 at BHX
Jepp charts are showing that the new exit turnoff that is being built for runway 15 is open! This is not so, there is still work in progress there and the exit is far from completion.
In the interest of runway safety, have any of you guys/gals either:
a) briefed for landing to use the new turn off; or
b) as your approaching the turn off, mistaken it for being open.
As the turn off comes nearer to completion, i'm just wandering if the possiblitiy exists of an aircraft actually committing to this turn off before its finished !

Sorry, just read yours of last week. Have asked the charting chaps and they reply that charts Birmingham 10-8/10-8A (dated 29 OCT 04 and printed on yellow paper) were published as supplementary information to the 10-9 airport chart. These yellow 10-8 charts supercede the 10-9 charts_ The 10-8 charts cover all applicable information regarding the construction work in BHX (including EXIT 15). If you refer to chart 10-8A you will find under the Headline AREA 5 a depiction of the construction phases of Exit 15. Chart 10-8A shows without ambiguity that Exit 15 is not usable at the moment.
Would have been appropriate for you to have queried it with Jepp before posting, but I think we got it licked!
