Re Airbus

How much are they paying the guys that are flying the 73 at the mo ?

Problem with this company has always been the payscale , which leads to some guys hanging on in there and eventually getting commands due seniority who wouldnt get a command of a wheelbarrow anywhere else.

If they allow some of the things that went on on the smaller types to happen on the bus/737 they are heading for big trouble.

Well, they aren't paying them anything, are they? All the 73s are wet(possibly damp!) leases from Astraeus/Hola. So Flybe are paying lease costs only.

I have just read this thread for the first time. I hope flybe don't use RJ G-JEBU for Prague - jebu (pronounced 'yeah-boo') means "I f*ck" in Czech!

O.G.

My understanding is that some flybe pilots are flying the Astraeus 737 at the moment .

I believe that was part of the deal with Astraeus , in order to give flybe some people with type experience .

This was mentioned on a previous thread , no idea wether its actually true or not .

mentaliser - it would'nt be a problem as flybe no longer operate to Prague.....
Oshkosh - Yes there are some Flybe flight deck flying the 737's - as Nil Further mentions it is to give them experience and also becuase Astraeus were not not able to crew it fully with there own crews so we they have been lent to them.

Don't be silly BPM!

No Airbus or 737 will be ordered - because they won't be able to crew any new a/c they get!!

From Jethros site---

Fourth 737 a/c (originally third, before the Hola lease) for Flybe will be
G-STRJ c/n 25119,which Jethros quotes as ex PT-TER.

Now MY research tells me this aircraft hasn't been PT-TER since 12-01,being VH-JNE of Qantas, and ZK-JNE of Jet Connect since then. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it to revert to PT-TER,as it seems to be owned by Ansett Worldwide,or did this company close when Ansett(the airline) did?
Yes ,I know, this probably interests only the spotters/ex spotters/historians,but I find it interesting!
