Thumbs up Two new Monarch Scheduled routes from LGW

Just been on the Monarch website and they are advertising two new ZB routes from LGW, namely, Granada (GRX) and Lisbon (LIS). Good stuff! The fares even after taxes are pretty cheap. Compared to TAP and BA from LGW/LIS anyway!!

Well done Monarch and good luck with the new routes. May there be many more new routes from this quality low cost carrier.

Air Luxor don't appear to be flying to LGW anymore, according to their website.

The Granada route will finish off the long-mooted Granada-Manston-Odense service proposed by Air Andalucia.

MAN/NAP, BHX/ALC and BHX/FAO have all appeared on the website today too. 5 new routes announced in one day. Good stuff indeed, Loco Traveller!

Launching a service to Lisbon is a good move imo as no other British loco flies to Lisbon(from any UK airport).

I'd love to see Monarch start LTN/PRG before someone else does. Luton is one of only a few major airports in the UK with no PRG service. If Tees-side can sustain one, then I'm sure that LTN, as a major London airport, can. Seeing as proper cities are now making an appearance onto our route map, could it be? I'm sure that easyJet would be tempted to (coincidentally) join us on the route, all the same.

Let's hope that the new routes keep flowing and we don't get left behind.
