Eac/air Luxor

Advert in Flight this week for EAAC B747 crew based LGW/MAN/BHX - is the phoenix about to rise ? - (and have LGW been paid their fees!) - and BHX? interesting

Rumour also of Air Luxor doing MAN-Carribean charters...

Hello,

There is also a letter of intent between Air Luxor and Virgin so that Air Luxor can operate Virgin Nigeria flights initially.

air luxor

I think Air Luxor have an A330 based in the UK as they currently operate the Falklands flight for the UK Government.

Do 'Shiny 216' not do these with the Tristars anymore then?

LGW may have been paid but none of the staff or crew have, the CVA payments have ceased

CVA

You say LGW has been paid, what about the other UK airports. Also what about Eurocontrol...... Not sure about this so await a reply from them in the know , can EAC currently fly under there own flight numbers or can they only operate ACMI.

Also I assume they will be coming out of CVA soon or are they already ????

Have heard a whisper European still owes the US Govt for passenger taxes etc so don't expect to see them there in the near future.

Yup, thats right. I know we used to charter HL with the Antonovs for specialist tasks, but wasn't aware that the MoD had sub contracted other civilian operators to supplement/replace the Tristars.

Can anyone tell me what is left of the Air Luxor Light services that Air Luxor was using its A319/A320 aircraft for, with flights from Porto & Lisbon? I know the flights were never very full, but I think that's due to bad marketing at this end, because I only saw ONE advert, and that was in the time out guide to budget travel last year.

Also, any news on EAAC's expansion? I did hear seat-only sales rumours and the MD-80 family. Any more ...

Hi chaps.
Was concerned to hear that EAC have not paid their classic crews, I was thinking about responding to latest advert but would like to know what kind of people I am dealing with.
Does anyone out there know WIHIH ? I note that the previous
fleet management has changed, was this by commom agreement or did the company "dump " them for their own purposes ?
As an ex-atlantic baron's, prematurely retired technical advisor.
I would be grateful for any input. Especially from you Mr E.

Greetings Ex Oggie from the other ex-oggie on Pprune

Mentioned recently on another thread is that MoD is looking to let a Contract for the SA schedule for a further 2 years....

Luxor have been doing it for a while, and before that bmi (also with 330) - quite a while since 216 have flown pax services on the route now.

Not too difficult to work out why.

Sorry for thread creep!
