I might be dreaming but I am sure the XL site is now showing 13 destinations from HUY for Summer 06.
Realise some must be consolidation of other routes, but 13 on one carrier!!!

Bring it on HUY

Great that XL are showing their commitment to HUY!

Anyone know why there has been a metro III visiting recently? It is in an airline colours but could not work out which airline it was!

As I stated when the whole Excel news unfolded a couple of months ago they are taking over the Airtours flights. If you look at the Excel schedule there are a few new routes but most of them are just taken over from the previous airlines that carried the passengers last year.

Replacing existing airlines

Not sure (maybe additional frequency or replacing an existing flight)

Palma
Gran Canaria
Alicante
Malaga
Faro

Have you seen the frequency of the flights? The schedule for next year will be far bigger than this year and i believe last year too!

The ARE more things to be announced! I assume a SSH very soon!

DSA on the other hand are alredy losing capacity and charter routes!

Andy,
I too heard something about Thomsonfly not being over the moon about the low money they were getting at DSA, don't know f it is true or not, realise DSA have had 250,000+ pax but if they are £1 e/w then... can't see any landing and parking fees or fuel profit in that? Peel must be making it all on retail and car parking, but where are Thomson making their 'buck'
HUY on the other hand were in profit this year (04/5) and look well set to bounce back bigger than ever in (06/7) with these Excel flights, losing count of the routes now!!!

Howdy,

Ill be down at HUY in the morning (7AM onwards) if anyone wants to come down at all.. ill be on the opersit side, the layby over looking the 21 threshold.

Any decent traffic due, apart from the 2 pegasus's?

7006fan, I heard a rumour that HUY bosses weren't thrilled with the performance that Excel has been giving lately!

Just wind your window down and give him a flash of the interior light, and he'll know it's you.

Wrong Gary 4444,
It is the Aestraeus that has been causing them (and the pax) problems. It seems each week the plane either goes tech or gets hit by a baggage loader. NP with Excel, now offering 13 routes rather than the original 7 that were announced.

Excel will, in fact be operating a minimum of 18 weekly flights out of HUY next summer with one full based a/c 737-800/400 and one part based 737-800 Tue-Sat.

Regards

Mike
