sorry missed the word 'or' out between each point.
ie to Scandinavia via OTR
to AMS,south east europe via DOLAS
to the north via GOLES and POL
to the south, south east via GOLES and then DENBY or somewhere similar before turning as this is the route HUY traffic takes

Two RAF Hercules aircraft have landed at the airport this morning after a flypast at the funeral of one of the servicesmen of the Hercules that crashed in Iraq.
The aircraft are XV212 and XV294

Do we know who is going to actually open the airport?
Presumably, this would normally by a job for Liz, or perhaps Ally D, but being so close to the election, would we get Johhny 2 jags or the grinning fool, or would they be otherwise engaged?

I am quite certain that a concerted campaign of sabotage is going on in respect to our new airport. This is more than the usual rumours on this site, which can just smile at.
Various stories in cluding the airport shutting down, flights being diverted are upsetting customers who have,or are about to book.
Is there anyone who can identify any source.

don't know where these rumours started,i just reported what i heard at my work,i suppose some people always look on the black side.anyway seems like they are a load of old tosh, which is good news,DSA is the best thing to happen to Donny in years and will be an undoubted success.
anyone done the 'real airport' course,i'm currebtly doing it,wondered whether it had helped with anyone's job applications ?

A report in the Free Press states around 1.3 Million people will be travelling through the airport in its first year!
Its not a bad statistic considering Peel's aim is for 2.3 million by the year 2014, which means they will be half way by the end of the first year of operations. I guess its all down to Thomson and their commitment to the airport.
If the other rumoured carriers come on board in the first year the 2014 target could be broken in the second or third year!

If Peel will be half-way to their 2014 target this year, will they have created half the promised 7000 jobs by then also?:
I hear Charles Kennedy wanted to use Robin Hood on Thursday for electioneering in South Yorkshire, but as the airport hasn't a licence yet, had to make other arrangements?

“We originally predicting that the airport would act as a catalyst for creating in excess of 7,000 jobs over a ten year period and with 611 on board at day one it won’t be long before we reach that goal.”

In a TUI press release before Thursday 28th's Summer 06 brochure becoming available new destinations for summer 06 have been revealed, including Doncaster.
New Thomson destinations are Bulgaria, Croatia, Cancun, Turkey, Dominican Republic, Florida and Zakynthos

I don't think anyone could have seen some of those coming, it really will be exciting next summer!

Given this level of job/wealth creation I assume Peel will no longer be seeking Objective 1 EU finance which of course is designed for areas of severe deprivation. 1.3m passengers a year does not suggest deprivation but affluence!
