Astraeus are recruiting at the moment for crew to be based at LBA over the summer, when I rang they said that they were hoping to have something up and running by April.

NEW-CREW

you are in the right ball park... just, Astraeus are recruiting crews for an LBA base (as a broker), but highly unlikely to be on their own airframe.

Watch this space, things could get very interesting shortly.

BMW! BM W = BM WW? Hmmn! Are we on the right lines yet?

Of course I know BMW is German but the BMW Mini was British!

New word has come to my ears that superdrug will be opeing a unit this summer opposite the landside WHSmith- next to domestic arrivals! The retail walkway also seems to have had a clean up so maybe some more pending operators!

What on earth is all this rabbiting about?

If the discussion is heading where I think it is heading: CR7, there is a fundamental difference between someone acting as a broker (i.e. no risk, intermediary in arrangements) and an airline leasing in an aircraft (wet or dry) to expand its fleet. That doesn't make the airline a "broker" or anything like it. If they are taking the risk on an arrangement, they are the principal.

Flightrider

Come on lad, we're all having a bit of fun here, don't spoil it for us all!!

Just to touch on the stuff about superdrug 'ashmac33', not heard that one but did hear something about a hair dressers for the 'retail walkway'. Me thinks a sweet shop with a 'pick-n-mix' or a smoothie bar would be better for this location It would certainly be a hit with the airport staff if not the passengers!!

Flightrider, no disrespect, but I'm not sure I understand your point, or the direction you think this is discussion is going?

I use the work "broker" loosely to make a point to young BBAE. You may be missing some facts with respect to the S05 MYT program ex LBA, but you may find that the word "broker" is perhaps the closest word to describe what "may" happen.

Why must you insist on being so angry all the time?

Just what you see on the Airtours webpages. Here are the flights as they appear this morning.
Monday...LBA-REU-MME-REU-BFS-REU-LBA.
Tuesday...LBA-PMI-???-PMI-LBA.
Wednesday...Nothing planned as yet.
Thursday...LBA-FAO-LPL-FAO-LBA.
Friday...LBA-IBZ-LBA-MAH-LBA
Saturday...LBA-ALC-LBA-LPA-LBA.
Sunday...LBA-AGP-LBA-LCA-LBA.
Still room for it to do extra flights on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings and night flights for most of the week. I think the Wednesday FUE due to operate with LTE will swap to AEU in time.
