Looks like another case of the press not checking their facts; the BBC claim there were 120 Dunfermline fans.

Supposidly was due to operate on a YAK42 ! Quite why Dunfermline would want to operate on that God knows! Unless whoever the charterer was...didnt tell them!!

Correct, a YAK 42!!
Air Scotland stepped in to do the flight. Carried the team, officials and fans, EDI-KEF. Delay was due to them cancelling the YAK then calling Air Scotland and arranging payment. Shame that they waited 30 odd yrs to get back in europe, then have this happen!! Oh well hopefully if/when the get to the next round they will sort it out.

The charterer was Sportsfare

Same company is organising travel for Millwall team / fans etc. Good luck to them if they do the same to Millwall fans !!!!

Millwall will know who the play when the craw is done on 27 August.

After digging a little deeper...Sportsfare is run by David Dryer and anyone out there who is involved with footy flights will not be too suprised that this Dunfermline fiasco happened if he was involved !!

It amazes me that continually time after time 'official' flights are the ones that always seem to have problems and are often booked on non EU / third rate carriers.

Its about time someone clamped down on these 'cowboys'!

Nice to see that the 'unofficial flight ' operated both ways without any problems - maybe there's a message there???

Anyone know what turned up to operate the 'official' fans flight 8 hours late yesterday afternoon, and what is bringing them back tonight?
