Stansted: 19 new flights a week!

Low-cost airline Norwegian has just implemented a bumper increase in flights to the country's top cities _19 extra departures a week, to be exact.

New flights to the city of Bergen, the gateway to the fjords, and the medieval city of Stavanger, home to the largest area of old wooden houses in Europe, join Norwegian¹s current service to Oslo.

The number of flights to the capital has also increased, rising from five to 12 per week.

Mike Rigby, UK general manager for Norwegian, said: ³Norway¹s a wonderful country famed for its winter sports, and is home to the world-famous Holmenkollen ski jump.

"But it's very much an all-year-round destination, and is renowned as the Land of the Midnight Sun, with the north enjoying 24 hours of sunlight in summer."
