EZY in BOH or SOU

Heard that EZY have been sniffing around BOH. Cld they be looking to launch a Spanish route to take on FR?

Anyone know any more?

Certainly can't see SOU as an option given runway and terminal constraints?!?

But aren't FlyBe rumoured to be looking at the 319 to take over the 146 routes from SOU?

Iberworld 320 has been operating to PMI this Summer.

ezy COULD op from SOU but can't see it happening. Havent heard any rumours and they certainly couldn't night stop any a/c as we only have space for 1 more a/c after the addition of the extra 142 as from tonight. Getting a bit chocka....watch out for winter early morning de-icing madness...gonna be delays to match all delays!

It's not really a rumour about Flybe. looking at the 319. It is public knowledge that the 319 and the 73G are being looked at. Sources would suggest the american option.

Regards

Mike

I presume that there might be some sense in opening a low fare base from Bournemouth.

EasyJet already have a mini hub in East Midlands Airport, another member of the Manchester Airport Group that own EMA and BOH, and as a second point besides the small Ryanair operation from the airport with their once a day flights to Girona, Hahn, Prestwick and Dublin, there is plenty of room for a second operator.

Tomorrow is the last flight for Ryan air from Bournemouth to Hahn, after being very popular by students, walkers and holiday makers there was a market here.

Would be good for some competition...
