Jobs in Africa (2011 onwards) part 3.
Poster 126.9 Started a thread entitled Jobs In Africa back in October 2002. The original thread can be found Here
Part 2 of that thread is available Here. The original post stated: Somebody else started a similar thread here, which unfortunately is not getting a huge response. Due to it's heading I guess. May we start one where we as pilots and aviation employees can leave a contact email address for potential employers to find us? I'm in the fortunate position where I get to hire new guys/gals sometimes, and it is (believe it or not) hard to find them! I would leave my web site address here, but that would be exploiting the FREE advertising thingy. If anyone is looking for a job, flying or in the industry; let us all know here and you never know your good luck! Hopefully some influential Africans look in here from time to time? Please be advised of the following stipulations: The details you place should be done with caution. Please do not give out addresses, full names, or any information which may compromise your personal security. Please also be advised that email addresses are often farmed by organisations and individuals that may use them for behaviour less scrupulous than the author may wish. This thread is for pilots interested in jobs in Africa, Not for individuals or companies looking to place unpaid advertisments. There is a link for companies and individuals seeking to advertise at the top of the page or Here |

Twin Charter @ 1500TT
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can recommend any charter companies in Africa who operate the Baron and/or C310 and employ foreign pilots? I'm an Australian with 1500TT and 350 Multi Command with ATPL subjects who is keen for another adventure. Thankyou in advance. |
Try PNG. Just like Africa only closer :}
You should piss it in with those hours |
Charter companies in Africa? How long a list would you like?
Maybe you want to either specify which region or countries in Africa you would prefer, or what kind of operation you would be looking for? |
A list of somewhat reputable operators who run the above mentioned aircraft would be sufficient.
Cheers |
i am planning to go in maun i october to try to find a job , anybody is going there?
|
yes me. but am not sure about about which country. though Bots in my first option.
|
sir, can you tell me name of few companies in any of the African countries who are CURRENTLY hiring low timed pilots on C172/210s.
I am aware that the hiring season is over. but it will be too long to wait for it. I wish there is any place which needs pilots at the moment, and I could go come there immediately. |
I'd like a change of scenery
I'm a flight instructor (CFI/CFII and working on the MEI) with 700TT and 40 multi looking for a change of scenery and to go else where in the world. I'd like to go to Africa, Asia, somewhere but really want a change of scenery. Getting tired of fat girls, (with boyfriends who wear gravy-stained t-shirts attending NASCAR events), malls, and traffic. Any advice? Africa would be great, but not the dangerous areas.
|
try to hit 1000hr TT first.
The main hiring season is over for Southern Africa's countries. Once you're past 1000TT, ideally with bit more twin time, you'd be more competitive for Caravan jobs. There are many posts/threads about Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania. BTW, you can read up on tightening of the requirements for companies to sponsor foreign pilots, especially fresh from the CPL checkride and thereabouts. If you really want to go to Asia, there are ways, but better check out Asian section, obviously. Also, with your time, you should be fine for UAE or Saudi, for flight schools. I'm afraid you'd go from US (as we know it) to semi-prison in ME. But hey, different scenery for sure and not likely to get laid or wishing to, there. |
I heard the other day a company in Malawi is looking for B1900 crew. I think they want you to be rated on type and also they needed a few hundred hours on both turbines and multi - hope this helps:) - oh sorry blonde moment someone sent me a message asking who. I got a face book message if you look up swift air malawi:ok:
