Jobs in Africa (2008 onwards) Part 2

Poster 126.9 Started a thread entitled Jobs In Africa back in October 2002. The original thread can be found Here

The original post stated:
Somebody else started a similar thread here, which unfortunately is not getting a huge response. Due to it's heading I guess. May we start one where we as pilots and aviation employees can leave a contact email address for potential employers to find us? I'm in the fortunate position where I get to hire new guys/gals sometimes, and it is (believe it or not) hard to find them! I would leave my web site address here, but that would be exploiting the FREE advertising thingy.

If anyone is looking for a job, flying or in the industry; let us all know here and you never know your good luck! Hopefully some influential Africans look in here from time to time?

Please be advised of the following stipulations: The details you place should be done with caution. Please do not give out addresses, full names, or any information which may compromise your personal security. Please also be advised that email addresses are often farmed by organisations and individuals that may use them for behaviour less scrupulous than the author may wish.

This thread is for pilots interested in jobs in Africa, Not for individuals or companies looking to place unpaid advertisments. There is a link for companies and individuals seeking to advertise at the top of the page or Here

New Commercial Pilot

Hey guys.

I will be qualifying as a South African Commercial Pilot soon, but would like some advice on where and how to start my career?

A lot of people recommend to start as an instructor but I realy do not enjoy stalling and spinning enough to do that every day of my life for the next year!

Any recommendations of companies in africa willing to hire newbies? I have a few extra bucks for a type rating or two, maybe a C208 or something..?

Thanx for the help.

Fresh Pilot

Hey Guys
Fresh Comm Pilot looking for a job, preferably a Bush flying job.
Pls dont advice me to do Instructors, i dont see myself talented to do Instructors, its not easy to impart skills to wanna be pilots, although i know it s the easiest way to get the hours, but i think its unfair to the students. I know of many many frresh new comm pilots who become Instructors just to build hours and i have seen their Students suffer..!
To be an instructor, you need to have the talent to pass the information, one of the most difficult and most respectable in my eyes too...!
So guys if there a job for me pls let me knw ..
Many thanks

Very open to any work available, regardless of pay. Currently in the US, however traveling on site wouldn't be a problem.

Great that's all we need. Another pilot willing to work without pay. You're in the US go fly for Mesa or Colgan.

Sorry to offend, I didn't mean it the way it was interpreted.

I mean to say my low time warrants a lower salary. If I had posted with higher times, I'd obviously be more recalcitrant in dealing with mgmt and salaries.
