maiden air recruitment methods

Hi Everyone,
My brother, who's not typed rated, was slected for Maiden Air for an interview for the next month in London.
The bad thing is, the company's CEO is asking my brother to deposit 6000 english pounds in a certain account, to have access to that interview. Just to be sure he's really interested in this job as he has no experience on such aircraft.
What do you think about the serioussnes of this procedure?
Coud it be a swindle?

Hey lad's

It just does not seem to add up.I did some detective stuff on this one and did find some interresting thing's.For example

-The email adress of this company can not be traced to it's domain (or something like that my brother in law did that part )

-The phone number that they are using is in no way connected to the company

-If you check the chamber of commerce in Sa it does not show up.

is somebody trying to screw us over or what!!

The offer did sound to good to be true anyway

But captain there are some people on the runway

F@#$*k em Ready for to?

Exclamation Maiden Air (S.A)

Dear Fellow Crews/Pilots and Wanabees,

It came to light about Maiden Air from a good friend of mine who wanted just a little guide line for airline interviews and selection procedure.

Once I heard all the details and read the Contract (as my good friend was offered a job)...Gentlman one thing on one thing only.

THIS AN 'ADVANCE FEE SCAM'..PLEASE STEER CLEAR

I have not only been in Aviation for a while now, but the CEO of a financial consortium..this is a real copy of the classic Nigerian 419 fraud. We see this type of scam approx. 20 time a week.

If you go to the Scotland Yard web-site, you will find out all about advance fee fraud.

Of course it is in a different form and domain..not aviation related.

Really does piss me off when Scammers (who have to a near fine art) rip innocent people off who have just spent a ball park figure of £50-60,000 for their licence and are 'really' looking for a genuine vacancy opening....along comes this very clever deal...

Please walk away and you won't forget the day you read these mails on Pprune.

Exclamation Question

Hello everybody,

I'd like to know where you all got your information.

I find it a little bit dangerous just to write down these facts without proving them.
So, if any of you would provide me with some proof, I would appreciate it.

My reason, very simple, I did my own investigation, and I had personal contact with the CAA in South Africa and the Chamber of commerce.
Both stated that the company does exist and is pending for their license.

Therefore I'd like to see some proof of you all, why you all think this is fraud.

Thank you

you also can e-mail to: [email protected]

Hi 8gg,

A hearty welcome to this bulletin board as a new poster.

Any chance of you being able to reproduce the information and contact details of those in the CAA and chamber of commerce you contacted?

I would be interested to hear more from the official channels as I am sure everybody else would.

Many thanks

I have all the info you need. All you need to do is transfer $6000,00 into my account, and I shall give you an e-mail address where you can find a telephone number of a person who knows someone who personally heard someone else talking in a pub about someone that they knew who had heard of this crowd.

IT IS ALL THUS TRUE, SO DEPOSIT THE MONEY NOW AND HEAR ALL.

Honestly any company that requires money as a deposit for an interview. Guys, you're pilots, prove to the world that people who fly aircraft are not stupid. Stear clear, or do not winge in the future when you get burned.

no,

I am a freshman in aviation.

But I was thinking while reading through the posts :

If we as (some of us) young, non-experienced pilots give a new start-up airline this much confidence, why should they put their confidence in us, young pilots.

If this is the way we think about every company in every industry, none of them would survive, musn't we give them a chance.

Or is the only item everyone discusses the deposit, do you even know the conditions of the deposit ?

I find it a two way street.

Therefore I would like to know why you all call it a fraud, do you know that the people behind it are people known for this or what?

Someone asked me to reproduce the e-mails I received, well the only thin I can do is quote and that is something I did already.

Why don't you prove to me it is fraud in stead of me proving it isn't.

regards

8GG

Ay boet 8CG.
Considering us SA okes are all a bit doff, why dont you pay the company the deposit and when you are flying the big jet,let us know and I promise I will personally send them a cheque for the rest of the guys to go to the interviews.
Paying for a conversion is one thing, paying for your air-ticket to the interview is also one thing, but actually paying for an interview,WELL.
I believe in the easter bunny---do you????.
