Minimum 4000 total hours including 2000 hours PIC (> mtow 15t) plus 500 hrs on Type. Anyone knows more about T&C?

huh? They’re hiring DEC on 737’s? I’m surprised their union allows it.

A while ago the management were talking about the move just for short term. My understanding is they are "really short on the 787" Some F/O who are meant to get upgrade to the left on the E190 are staying put on 787.

I know plenty of Kenyan pilots that have had their application in with KQ for over a decade. Many of them are flying next door for the competition or flying for QR. they’re competent and qualified.

It's a fraternity with the carrier with the exception of a few who got in with their own merits.

I’ve personally liked every KQ pilot I’ve ever met. I’ve liked and professionally respected every Kenyan pilot I’ve ever flown with except the former CP of WB who shall rename nameless as he flies his Fokker around Somalia. He deserves a Fokker.

it’s like I predicted this....maybe KQ should hire some of their local pilots and pay those already onboard a globally competitive salary so that experienced Kenyan pilots aren’t poached by the ME carriers. That would make sense though...
