Goma, DRC

Hi all,

Does anybody know what airlines are currently operating scheduled pax flights out of Goma? Struggling to find anything on google other than FlyCAA.

Thanks

Thanks Fuzzy

Will be flying home from that neck of the woods in a few months and curiosity is getting the better of me, tempted to fly home from Goma rather than Kigali

Surely you must be joking. If not, Goma should not be considered. Though physically close to Kigali, they might as well be on two different planets.

Goma is about as dangerous as airports get. Kigali or Entebbe are much wiser choices.

You really don't want to go there.. half buried in black volcanic dust.. and that's not just a phrase.. it's literally half buried.. one of the poorest parts of the second poorest country on the poorest continent on the planet.

Would you please give some information about Goma airport, such as RWY length, NAV facilities, taxiways and tarmac area, fuel and fire fighting facility.
Thanks in advance.

Four Engine Jock

Thank you for the useful information, regarding the Runway length 6562', is it the actual length or the one written on the charts. Cause I have heard that the runway has been affected by the volcanic lava.
