GA/aircraft rental in Tanzania (Dar)?

Hello,

I'll be taking a vacation in Tanzania (in Dar es Salaam mainly). and wanted to know if there is any place to rent single engine aircraft around Dar to do some flying. Are there any flying clubs or flight schools where i can rent a cessna?

Also, is TZ an easy place to get my PPL converted? if anyone know the people/process to get it done, i'd appreciate it

Give it time and consider calling . Regarding a conversion , if you just want to fly a couple of times for your pleasure , think about a validation rather than a conversion . The process should be straightforward : Bring your original PPL and Medical , Logbook and do a local airlaw exam . Validation is then based on your original licence . If you don't have a lot of time , just fly with an instructor .

Have fun and enjoy Tz

ya, i figure i'll probably just end up flying with an instructor and save the hassle cuz i'll just be doing a few hours. Just wanna get some air time in while i'm there, maybe just buzz around zanzibar or Pembe for along the coast for bit.

Aircraft rental in Arusha / Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Hi there, my husband and I are moving to Tanzania later this year. He has a UK PPL and would like to be able to hire aircraft while he is there. Can you recommend any flight schools or charter companies near Dar or Arusha? Many thanks.
