Self fly Aircraft Hire in Madagascar/Mozambique?
CofE, whoop dee doo. You're clearly a very special cookie. I have no idea whether your hard to believe claims of all these things you've done are true, or just Walt style fantasy, and to be honest I really couldn't care less. I know people who do indeed do that kind of thing and they're a hell of a lot more down to earth and modest than you are. Very ironic that you, of all people, call me arrogant and condescending; do you know what those words mean? I'm the one pointing out that actually, flying in Africa is not out of the reach of all private pilots, but you seem to consider that nobody who isn't you or one of your elite buddies could even consider it.
There are a minority of pilots, of which you seem to be the figurehead, who think that the work they do is of such incredible difficulty and importance that nobody else in the world can even come close. I suppose it inflates your evidently already very high sense of self importance to keep up the pretense.
The question on the table is "can a private pilot self-fly in Africa" and the answer is unquestionably yes. I have done it numerous times and I'm nothing special, many many others have done it numerous times. You don't even need to have "trust fund status" - I certainly don't, and my travel there has all been self supported by the people on board.
Clearly, you have to plan carefully and know what you're getting in to, but countless people fly around the African continent every day in little airplanes and seem to manage it without dying every five minutes.
Are you worried that if people realise that actually, it is possible to fly in Africa, your colossal ego might take a hit?

Yes! You've nailed it. My ego is out of control and I think nobody else is capable! The truth of what I do/have done is of no consequence to anyone other than myself. I don't require anyone's validation - especially yours. There are some on here who know me personally and are aware of my qualifications. For me to post BS, would be lying in front of known colleagues and take away my special cookie status. I assure you that I will not lose sleep over your doubt of my "Walt Disney" claims. Sadly, I will have to remove you as a reference on my CV.
It is you, my friend, who delivered the arrogant attitude to this thread and have made a fool of yourself. Posting a map of your trip? Here are some virtual golf claps from the peanut gallery. I'd give you a gold star too, but PPRUNE's austerity plan eliminated them back in 2011.
The OP requested info on a 6+ passenger a/c. You came back with a map of your excellent African adventure in a C182. I believe that has 4 seats. Your insecurity delivered the map as an added bonus to your already demonstrated lack of basic reading comprehension.
Neither I, nor anyone here suggested that private pilots cannot fly in Africa or that it is out of reach. Personally, I would love to fly a 182 around certain parts of Africa with my wife. It is a bucket list item for many and you are fortunate to have done that.
It is the OP's need/desire for a larger cabin single, preferably a turbine Caravan. Again, reading c-o-m-p-r-e-h-e-n-s-i-o-n. If you worked for Hertz, someone would inquire about a trip to Mt. Everest in an 8 passenger SUV and you'd tell them all about your trip along the length and breadth of the Himalayas in a Suzuki Samurai.
The question on the table was NOT "can a private pilot self-fly in Africa?"
It's no longer worth posting on this thread. You are an angry little troll and just too easy of a target. To quote one of the dumbest movies of all time seems an appropriate way to, hopefully and somewhat gracefully, end this thread:
"Mr. (Madison) Katamorono, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this (room) thread is now dumber for having (listened to) read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Sooooooooooo, someone from Pittsburg got an overflight permit and visa to Sudan? No....you're lying. We can't even get one as a predominantly Christian nation. But you got one no problem? Negative Ghostrider....I'm calling BS on this one.

Oh, and btw....I've met 2 people online in my entire life. Centrofexcellence is one of them. I got him a job and let him move into my house based on his previous experience and quality of character. I have more flight time than him, fly a bigger and shinier jet, he makes more $$$ but has more experience in afrika than most folks on this forum. I call him to ask him questions...he's not an authority, he's a grizzled veteran. You're barking up the wrong tree. Additionally, you'll kindly refer to him as CAPTAIN, he's earned it. Keep up the CRJ studying and thanks for playing. Oh, and 100 octane avgas have been NOTAM'd out for most of your route. I guess u tankered for 5000 miles....

Doesn't look like you hold much hope for that plan.
Although the insurance would be handled externally from our end so that would be covered. It would be just one of a number of fairly large scale assets being insured in country.
Even if someone knows of a 208 operator in the region we could approach with the proposition that might be really helpful.
