Stopovers Eastern Chad/ Western Sudan

Does anybody know of any plausible refuelling stopovers in the Oauddai region of Chad or Western Darfur? There are a scattering of adequate airports in the region, but little or no information on fuel/customs availability.

If I can't stop in the region, I will have to route through CAR and Congo - which is even less appealing.

Al fashir has fuel and an rnav approach. Big runway but getting overflight and landing permits take some time to sort out.

Tx Forerunner, good to know fuel is available in El Fashir - do you know if Customs are reliable in El Fashir? It says in Pilots Atlas that Customs service is available on request - but don't want to turn up and find they have ignored the request...

Just route through FEFF, plenty Jet and Avgas.

Both ILS/VOR/DME serviceable as of last week.

Lots of heavies in and out. Customs/irritation available but would not recommend N/stop unless you have someone on the ground, with road permits to move to the only 5* hotel in town.

If you need a hand I have my guys on the ground there.

I think that Captain Danger might be a better source homie. I'm good, but only fly to war zones when 5 figure bonuses are in affect. Customs are douche bags in all of Afrika but especially in sub-Saharan. They ruin industry and aviation. You've gotta arrange things in advance if you want to go to or need to go to these places. It's possible to just transit and deal with your handler and say that you requested previously and confuse them with confusion. Also, your handler should be able to "smooth" things over. Just don't spend too much time. Head to Entebbe ASAP (HUEN) and go to the Turkey.
