I can't really say I've heard of Skylink Aviation at all. The link given shows the Southern Cross Safaris caravan (hence the registration).
There are always a lot of local 'shell' companies who have a smart logo, website and business cards but who basically broker or middleman hiring aircraft for clients and contracts. Maybe this is one like that?? Would suggest some deeper research before pulling any money out or getting your hopes up.....

Skylink exists, I have been there before. But only knew it to operate a flight school, a good set up if I may add. In fact they had a crash last week on one of their training aircrafts.

Any news on this company? Not the flight school! The charter company! I've been offered a job also. It's really sketchy. Really informal! Do they exist? Has anyone spoken with someone?

Sorry guys, haven't heard of this operation at all. The photos on the weblink are for a Caravan (SXS) owned and operated by Southern Cross Safaris (know the boss well). One of other the photos on your Skylink website is taken at Wilson Airport, and features a Bosky caravan, a Safarilink Caravan and the spinner of the East African Air Charters C406. In other words a scenic shot of three of the local 'big' players' equipment. Not for an operation called Skylink. 
If you have been offered a genuine job, you will first need to have a Kenyan licence and work permit if you are flying a 5Y registered aircraft in this region. Neither are cheap or easy or quick to get.
There are a lot of operators based/licenced in Kenya but who operate contracts in south Sudan or Somalia. It could be one of these, but there's not much info or detail on the website. I'd find out a lot more about exactly who they are, what they are flying and where before making any financial committment.

It isn't exactly that one but I have found it in other job search websites! I will be looking into that link you provided me with for African jobs. I actually speak Spanish also. Do you know of any low time jobs in Spanish speaking countries? I'm currently a jump pilot but I'm not racking up enough hours. Great follow ups thanks!

Its been a while since I've been into Wilson, I do remember the flight school but not a charter company under that name.
Does anybody have an update on these guys, seen a Caravan of theirs buzzing around? I would love to take the position and get back out there again, but if its a scam; then no.

We have a very good and organized schedule in that in our 15 registered routes we can guarantee at least 7hours a day. Depending on the roster you may work or not during weekends. This job requires you to relocate and thus the company will look after you in that you will be provided with appropriate housing for the whole duration of your contract. Transport to and fro will be catered for by the company. Our salary range for first officers is between 2,500 USD and 3,000 USD whereas captains is 5000USD.More details will be in the work contract which is quite comprehensive. Contracts are valid for only 3 years calculated from the first day on the job. License conversion is mandatory as per the KCAA regulation. The company will undertake the responsibility to help in this process and at a fee paid up front for earlier preparation. Do not hesitate to ask if still in doubt about anything. We would like you to send us a copy of your license ,medical ,last 3 pages of your log book and your passport if you are interested.

Lets put some facts on this ...there are only about ten C210s in total in Kenya. Most are in private hands, the only commercial ones are operated by EAAC, AimAir and BushAir who are a new operation and have acquired two. No one else has more than one. More or less same story for C206s.
And where is the first officer going to log time? In the right seat of a 6 seater? And then there is the issue of license and work permit. The immigration department is kind of on shut down and not issuing work permits to foreigners unless you can prove it is a job a Kenyan can't do. And every 250 hour new commercial pilot here emerges from our training system with a Caravan rating even if they have barely flown solo. And there are dozen of these guys each week.
And scheduled services are already criss crossing the country to all main destinations chasing an increasingly flooded cheap ticket price market. Really don't see there is space for another new operator.
Lastly I just don't get what this scam is trying to achieve? It's so transparent and I can't see where they are going to make any money out of it.

Does anybody know who is behind this then? They could be hurting the real skylinks rep if people start associating them with this.
I agree Foxcotte, having worked in the area, I understand the system. I presumed the FO was for the Caravan only (as some countries/operators require this), never knew it was for the 206/210.
It seems around half the jobs I apply for or I am contacted directly for are scams these days, so sad. What is even sadder is some people might even fall for this otherwise they might wouldn't do it.

Our company in the past used to carter for this and some of the prospective employees whom had there work permits catered for would at times default coming in and thus causing losses to the company. If you are not comfortable with this you can come in when ever you are ready visit us and next time we are hiring we will consider you. Thanks in advance.
