Air service charges in Tz

Hi all

We flew a charter to Mbeya recently and had to part with nearly 600 USD in fees and charges. Can anyone shed some light on why these fees are so high?! We were charged USD 100 in admin fees alone. Another USD 400 for STLF (short term licence fee). Is there some way of getting a waiver or cheaper block clearance in future?

Any comments highly appreciated.

Cheers!

you would have to get a ASL, Tanzania and Kenya are very expensive for clearances.

Just to land in Conakry, Guinea with a 412 was over 800 dollars.
