Developments of EASY JET's buy-in at FLY540 and evolution of Fast jet
Any time framed developments and who is who on the new organization?
We already know A319s will be brought to replace CRJs.Fly 540 CRJ Captains will initially operate SFO for a few months. The A319s will be Captained by EASY JET A319 commanders over the transition period or will it be a wet-lease deal initially?
Any leads on entry requirements and whether they will accept non-jet experienced heavy turbo prop pilots with A320 rating?
Is KCAA in a position to endorse A320 on KCAA license given that no A319 (320 family) is currently registered in Kenya?
Will there be a marked shift in pilot and corporate Managerial personnel from present 540 old guard to new EASY-JET/Lonrho nominations?
Any leads on remuneration comparisons with Kenya Airways?
Whatever happenned to One-Jet-One?Are they somewhat involved in the genesis of Fast Jet ?
Is there ample parking facilities to accomodate both KQ and FAST JET..even considering Embakasi aprons?
Thanks for all useful contributions.
Whatever happenned to One-Jet-One?It has lost momentum entirely or are they engraved in the Fly540 evolution into FAST JET?
All useful contributions gratefuly received.

Ghana or Kenya
I was just about to start a thread on this topic. This is big news for african aviation... especially in the huge Ghana/West Africa market where there currently isnt any LCC.
Does anybody have any info as to recruitment? and type of aircraft? it hasnt been confirmed that airbus a319's will be operated has it?

FAST JET FLEET
Strong rumours from Fly540 point at A319 and a definite phase out of CRJ-200. EASY GROUP mighthave a financial marriage with Lonrho (parent of Fly540) and I imagine Operations will initially commence Kenya,Tanzania and Angola where FLY540 operates with a possible ad-hoc contract in West Africa and I imagine future seed there as it was Lonrho's original strategy to seed FLY540 all over Africa where there were growth prospects and especially LCC virgin territory.Ghana was almost going to be inducted for Fly 540 during 2008-2009.I don't know what happened. There were too many rumours (apparently empty) on expansion plans and fleet dreams when I was there. Now that a more serious Managerial vision is in place under the guise of Lonrho-Easy group there is every reason to be excited...but notwithstanding, there are the African CAAs and their Ministries of Transports to consider in the equation
