Press Interview

The Corporate Affairs ,FirstNation Airways, Ronke Kilaso said that as a build up to the inaugural flight in May, the new entrant has delivered three modern Airbus A320 aircraft, adding that the first aircraft flew into Nigeria from Montreal, Canada via Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday, April 10th, 2011.
She added that the cabin is made up of eight business class and 138 comfort classes, in all new leather seats complete with in-flight entertainment including air show and screens, for enhanced passenger comfort.
Speaking on the management of the airline, Kilaso said it will be headed by an expatriate as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director while the board will be chaired by Mr. Kayode Odukoya, Former Managing Director of Belview airlines adding that the airline has assembled a talented team of expatriates and Nigerians to run all aspects of the Operation.
Kilaso informed that the airline is currently conducting flight proofing as part of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s (NCAA) extensive and demanding certification process.
On the insinuation that the airline is an extension of the defunct Belview airlines ,the spokes person , said ,”FirstNation Airways hereby clarifies that she is independent and separate entity from Belview but pleased to have benefited from the wealth of experience of some of the former senior management of Belview Airlines”
The airline has selected the European Air Safety Agency (EASA) 145 approved maintenance service provider to maintain the aircraft, while Airbus industries, British Midland and Oxford Aviation Academy will provide training for engineers, pilots and cabin crew.
She added that the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCo) Aviance has been selected as its ground handler to support First Nation after what she described as an extensive tender process.

Hi

Thanks for your concern.

Neither "Capt Steve" or "Ops Frank" have had the courtesy to reply to my emails.

I have today contacted Algerian and Niger CAAs.

I have worked with Nigerian businesses since 1986 - Aerocontractors / Schreiner /Flash etc - Never a problem.

The amount of money involved is not an issue - It is the principle.

Cheers
