First Nation Airways

I obtained the Algerian & Niger overflight permits for their 3 A320's
5N-FNA/FNB/FNC ferry flights from Canada recently.

Despite promises of payment nothing received.

The deal was credit card with order.

I was given a credit card - credit card company refused it - "invalid card".

Informed First Nation - still awaiting payment....

I have dealt with numerous Nigerian companies over the years - some good some bad.

Another bad one on the block???

If they decide to pay me I will let you know.

I am not hard up by any means - IT IS THE PRINCIPLE - I do not like people taking the out of me....

Magvelda

I suggest you implement a "PAY BEFORE SERVICE" policy when dealing with Nigerian companies.

First nation

Hi

I usually do.

I have been on "my own" since 1986 and have dealt with companies in Nigeria like Aerocontactors and others. Never had a problem apart from 2 companies.

Yes I should Know better...

No point First Nation phoning me again....I have already alerted Algerian and Niger CAA.

Thanks for your thoughts. As I said it was not a lot of money. It is just the principle.

Might have gone a little way to paying for my cam belt change on my Prancing Horse....

Cheers.

Hello

No.

I have dealt with many African Companies since 1985 Quite a few in Nigeria.

Most are good honourable people then you get guys like these who use you promise to pay then never answer their emails...

My total invoice was only GBP 330.00........

Again I am not hard up for GBP 330.00 IT IS THE PRINCIPLE....

People like these give Nigeria a bad name.

Shame on those involved - You know who you are.

If they are reading this thread - You have my invoices and the details
required for payment. You also have my email address.

PAYMENT WILL ASTONISH.....

All three birds have been sitting on GAT for about two weeks - collecting dust in those pretty new engines, blades just screaming in the wind.

Somethings never change.

no money no money banks closed go home

Spoke to the CP a week ago as i have freshly acquired airbus type. Basics came down to no money nice planes no money. I think they are gonna target all of the guys from arik that had airbus experience and will work for free. So i would imagine most of you guys trolin' around on pprune will also work for free. So as a recourse to you, send me your CV's and ill gladly trash them like your life savings will be trashed when you come work in west africa. It will all balance out to your eagle jet time building cost... dont stress.

Bluejuice, what you say does not make any sense whatsoever, what you state is ridiculous. I believe they have taken a lot of expatriate Captains and FOs, as well as nationals with A320 ratings.I don't think you'll see any expats workin for free do you??

Regarding pilots working for free. (care to bet?)

First of all let me preface this with my 20+ years of living and working in africa. I dare say I do know what I am talking about. Here is the exact link to what is happening on a daily basis at most Nigerian Companies. (A perfect timeline) The company provided in the link is Nigeria's largest operator and currently utilizes a rather modern fleet flown in part by a large community of expatiate pilots just like you(want to be.)

http://www.pprune.org/african-aviati...ik-air-32.html

The above link provides 32 pages of forum discussions all discussing the lack of payment.

5 weeks now, have they responded? Do they even utilize email, this firstnation Airlines?

First Nation you must pay your debts

First Nation Airways (NG) to receive AOC when it completes 50 hours of demonstration flight, according to head of Nigeria CAA. Carrier also ordered to clear debt of defunct Bellview Airlines or risk A320s being impounded if flown to Europe.
