Hmmmm Jetlink Tanzania.

Thought you were waving the flag at he prestigious national carrier

Marco used to work for them or is still working for them. He's based out of Entebbe on contract for what I believe to be Jetlink aircraft leased to Air Uganda or Ungandan. Whatever they call themselves these days. Got himself a HUD CRJ.

So you going to be fighting with us and 540 on the Mwanza Nairobi route?

hola,

im still waving the flag there but seems like the pole that was used to wave the flag has disappeared, thence the need to look elsewhere.

jetlink-tz is supposed to be the same kenyan operator spreading wings in tanzania..

keep it up there fellows,

hi, when exactly did you do your interview?....they usually have two selections every year from what i have seen in the past....apart from paying for the rating and 2 months without a salary, they are not too bad ...eventually...

Jetlink Kenya has been having pilots pay for there own rating for quite some time now. The good thing with this arrangement is that when you want to leave you just give them a standard one month notice. Personally I would advice you to pay for the rating because if you don't there are quite a number of guys from Kenya who will jump for the opportunity and pay for it. With the current East African Corporation, these guys will be allowed to work in Tanzania.

hola people

this isn't an ab -initio flying, pro pilots shouldn't have to pay for their rating, its not healthy for the industry either. why bother doing an interview when you are only going to get guys in who are willing to pay(not necessarily good pilots).

after refusing to pay i just received a contract from them, the salary is worse then a C206 pilot makes in tz , so if any kenyan wants to cross the border and come work here, please be my guest.

keep it up there fellows.

Never pay!!!!

406 you are so right my friend on this one!!!!

PROFESSIONAL Pilots MUST NEVER PAY... These of operators need to get the picture. If they want OUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES THEY MUST PAY

To all those guys out there willing to pay to work ask yourself this question which other profession do you know has people pay to work? You have already payed enough for your qualifications!!! Don't help these operators bring our profession down we as pilots deserve better treatment!!!

PLEASE BE PROFESSIONAL DO NOT PAY TO WORK

Hey 406

Long time mate. Good to see your keeping your head high and not giving in to this bull$hit. Too many in this industry have no integrity which is why companies like Jetlink can get away with it. Hit me up for a PM if you want out of TZ.

Take care

Typical African operator for asking to pay for a rating ?

You mean they learned the lessons from Europe very well yeah ? Pay TR Please , Pay Line training please , no money for a few months then **** money afterwards : Hello Wizzair , Vueling , Jet2 , Farnair .......ad infinitum....!

Actually , you could even say that Jetlink asking 10KUS is
only trying to help

Anyhow ...back to the original subject

hola people

i dont think they are looking for cheap tz pilots, i just think they are naturally discouraging us so tht they can bring in their own pilots/planes, it must surely work out cheaper for them..

for those of you who keep sending me pm's about this opening and are willing to pay your way to a jet, here is my stand:

I WILL NOT REPLY TO YOUR PM'S BECAUSE I DONT THINK ITS PROFESSIONAL TO PAY FOR A JOB (NO OTHER PROFESSION DOES IT), IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU PEOPLE THAT THE OPERATORS HAVE CHANGED THEIR THINKING ABOUT RECRUITMENT.

Keep it up there fellows,

Bravo 406pilot...

You are so right 406pilot that's why I'm always proud of you. No wonder some of us didn't even go for the interview, I sensed it already. I think let them do that in other countries but not here, and we will make sure of it.
