ATS routes in Africa

Hi,

I'm going to start working in Africa soon and I've a question concerning ATS routes:
where can I find information concerning the class of the airways in the African region? I believe they're mostly class F or G (uncontrolled) which means that for a change of flight level or routing the ATS unit can provide only traffic informations about known traffics and pilots should rely on communications on IFBP frequency, therefore any deviation from the active flight plan should be avoided unless strictly necessary. Is all of this correct?
Thanks!

The best is to get a Jeppesen Manual. It contains all the relevant information. Bit expensive though
