Info required - Abeche / Nyala / Geneina

Hi all,
We are operating across Africa to Jeddah using G reg B752 both Etops / Non Etops sectors (depending on crew availability). If we were routing from Nigeria to Jeddah, we would prefer to fly across Chad Sudan (Khartoum) before routing North to Port Sudan and over the red Sea. We could use FTTJ (N'Jamena), HSSS (Khartoum) as our ETOPS (138mins) alternates / ERA'S. However, if we were to fly this route NON-ETOPS (60mins) we would need the introduction of a futher suitable airfield (RFF 6 + / Opening hours / Runway / PCN all within limits etc...) somewhere between N'Jamena and Khartoum. this airfield would need to be either Abeche (FTTC), Nyala (HSNN) or Geneina (HSGN). The books i have (Jeppesen flight supplement booklets, BA RIM) dont have a whole lot of info about these places. Have emailed AIS ASECNA who wern't very helpful either.. Has anyone got any contact details for these places? Even better, has anyone got any experience / other suggestions?. We need to conform the the criteria as set in our operations manual and i think Fire category (RFF) will be the biggest problem (min RFF6 at planning stage). I know that any airport with a good runway is fine in an emergency, but as i've said... at planning stage we need to conform with our ops manual which is part of our AOC... I'm kinda stuck... (BA do list Geneina and El Fashar (Sudan)as suitable diversion airfields, both as BA category 'E')
OJ

C.A.A. Sudan .:: Publications

go into the AIP. A bit out of date, don't know if it will help you or not.

Sorry to throw a spanner in your works.
FTTC Abeche is VFR only, VOR is out of service and can't see it working in a hurry.
TIA

If this doesn't matter for planning, I could confirm fire service but might take a few days.

Abéché = one 757-200 managed to land there recently in relation with..the Arch of Zoe's story.
El Geneina = no runway suitable for a 757-200
Nyala = 737-200 / IL 76 / 707 land there on a daily basis but extremely crowded airport at time with UNAMID mission and other commercial operators not to mention the lack of flexibility of local Sudanese Authorities.
El Fasher = idem

All airports are located in war-torn areas. ;-)

Abeche

Can only speak of Abeche. There is a french airforce base there so there will be french firetrucks and jet A1( and a mirage F1 escort !). As to what the Jepp says - disregard. No working navaids and goons in landcruisers driving all over the runway and apron in landcruisers packed with RPG's and fuel drums with no communication with the tower. Camels and goats roam free. At these kind of places the fire response depends on how pissed/stoned the drivers are, if the truck is even there and has fuel and tyres.

Possibly better i was there 3 years ago.

Thumbs up 757 Etops

Nyala,El Fasher could be suitable as they are regularly used by MD83 B737 and IL76. The difficulty would be handlers and if you actually had to use either they are very restricted in their operating hours. I believe HSFS is closed at 1800 local. They even want you out of their airspace then if you are departing. Nyala also suitable but with the same restrictions.
Khartoum I believe is a 24 hour operation, with a radar that might work on odd numbered days if your lucky.
