Working in SA?
I have been working in Congo for a bit, and have gone home to the States for a vacation. I am coming back to Africa and was wanting to upgrade life a little and try to find work in South Africa. Hows the conversion process? As far as working as an ex pat, I am expecting there is a lot more involved than what I had delt with, but what should I expect?
Also, hows the demand? I looked for a thread that delt with this, but nothing turned up of use.
Anyone got some pointers for me?

Está servira para distraerle.
Don't think so particularily but it rather looks as though everyone else has a preoccupation with what passed for a rugby game last Saturday night.

Will be in Kysna next weekend. What's the name of that funny flying school near there where highly experienced masters of the bongo drums lurk?

122.9 I assume you're in the fixed wing market? If you were flying helicopters I know of plenty places in SA looking for pilots. Especially if you have your instructors rating.
But I'm sure SA is also looking for fixed wing instructors.

Instructor rated 122.900? If so you'll have a good chance. Even better chance if you've got a rotor instructors rating.
Otherwise it'd depend on the experience and the usual right place at the right time scenario....

At the moment I am only a ground instructor. I was looking at doing the additional CFI-II-MEI while I was here in the States. I dont fly helios, they are way out of the ball park expensive here. I am still having a hard time finding the conversion information. If anyone has a link, or an address, or a cousin with a license generator OK, maybe not the last one. I thank all that have repiled, I'll keep looking, if not, I'll just head back to congo and slug it out a bit.
