One good thing about forums like this is that even if they don't change anything from a management perspective, it draws the attention of pilots to companies which have really cr*p managers like yourself. Eventually, as the pilot shortage starts to bite, it doesn't matter what some overpaid marketing executive with his special deal does, cr*p companies are going to find it difficult to keep aircraft in the air because no pilots will be willing to work for them. It's already happening with helicopter outfits in Africa. So, if people like me posting fail to get through to some airline managers, they'll only have themselves to blame (and their shareholders to answer to) when companies with enlightened managements have the machinery AND the people to do the job

There are some really interesting people who write on this Forum, and some really interesting responses which are posted, which does contribute to great entertainment value! However, it's amazing to see how uptight, defensive and philosophical people can get in response to another person's opinion, which more often than not is probably a complete rumour and doesn't have much truth in it, if any (hence its a rumour network). What it boils down to really is what you chose to believe and if you believe most of what is written here and take it seriously, well that really is your perogative.

A common trend on this forum is the attitude of "my way or the highway" - nothing like getting worked up cause no-one will listen to you. Having watched this Forum for a while now, what is interesting to note is how quickly people can slate their colleagues in an attempt to defend their positions...that is is more unprofessional than posting on PPRUNE....says alot about the industry, nothing like a mature, open-minded approach.

Thankfully, this forum is not nearly as bad as some other flame-fest forums I frequent! So I'll keep looking on the bright side. The only thing here is that people tend to get a bit flighty quite quickly because they're often not really 'internet' type people, and don't deal with a lot of online forums. Therefore, they tend to take it personally a bit quickly. Come play some PC games some time, for awesome examples of how bad it can be try some Counter-Strike forums. Not that I play *that* game of course, but it's a good example...

Just to push back the barriers of some peoples ignorance: Cats do not retract their claws.........they extend them as and when required. A Cheetah at birth has this ability but looses it as it grows. A Cheetah is not a "Big cat" as it cannot roar.
