be accurate pls

To B747sp:
Since the "days off away from home" was introduced I was rostered only once for 7 do - in Jan 06. The do-away was introduced for legality reasons, most of us do get their 8 days off.
To Emma R:
Saeef are robbers and swindlers who target expat retirees to sell them expensive holyday housing. They did not even called back when I said I am looking for a 20k MUR furnished house! Which I found through another agent!
As for beach side prime property MK pilots can't compete with multinational Co's and Ltd's that dish out 3.5 - 5k USD for housing...
Never forget that MK still made profit last year while most of the US Gov backed US carriers went or are almost bankrupt...
Pls do not forget that MK is undergoing a fleet revamp, albeit with not too much prior planning (typical for the locals), so we are losing guys that just do not have the patience to wait out the transformation...
Cheers,
Going for a Smirnoff Ice at the GBYC (costs me less than a GBP , by the way)

From what I know fleet renewal : 3 A340-300E ordered, first delivery October 2006, with option of 2 additional 340's.
Bad robot, perhaps we'll meet in Mauritius, I'm having my interview the 11th & 12th of May, next week. Same as you 319 or 340 FO.
Me too, I'm kind of fed up flying in Europe, I'd like to broaden my horizons, so why not Mauritius ? Best of luck man.
PM for additional info.

2 were offered the 319 at the interview, the rest were being interviewed for the 340. Interview was a few technical questions, your career to date and why you wanted to join

Assessment at BMI

I did the interviews at Mauritius and sim at london , I think there is a course starting end July, the sim was on the A320 at FIMP ILS RWY 14, several failures, raw data approaches, visuals, etc...
Good luck to all, and see you there!!

Hi Guys n gals.

With ya kind of hours n no rating on ATR or 319, MK can consider u if ya Mauritian. Then again the proper channel will via abinitio selection. U'll have to wait when they invite applications from local news papers. Having a licence, u'll compete with other licence holders as well.

If ya looking for an Expat contract, then u better have both hours n a type-rating.

Interview

Hi

I have just been through MK interview a month ago for Airbus position.
It is basically the same as the ATR.
Why Mauritius and MK??
Describe your career!
Some technical questions, they like all the definition of speeds (Vmca/g/l, Vmu....) and IFR minimum (Visi CAT 1, DHR.....), CRM, and some questions within a situation (you land in Rodrigues, a cabin crew doesn't want to come back with the plane, what would you do)
Get this book : Ace the pilot technical interview. with this no surprise for the technical questions!
You have also a psychometric test, 240 psycho questions just to check if you are well connected in the head!

When is your interview???
Otherwise I am looking for a B1900 and C208 pilot.
I was supposed to go in Africa working on these planes but I have just been hired by MK.
Well I am still waiting the confirmation which is a question of days, so I am looking for a guy to take my place on the other company.
Conditions are:
3300 euros/month plus appartment
2 months off in a year plus 2 tickets payed
upgrade on jet within 18 months
South African licence or validation is a plus

By the way good luck for your interview and let me know.
I f you have friends interested in this position!!! it is open!

Cheers

Denis

Beech,
No one in their right mind is going to give you a job. I've seen you fly, you suck!!
I know of an opening in the domestic house cleaning industry which you would be far better suited to!!
Only kidding Ma Bondee, I'll buy you a beer when you get here.
