A310 Operator
The only A310 Egyptian operator to have operated or may still be operating A310 a/c is Midwest Airlines. Google this name and you may find a website.
Perhaps, Heliopolis Airlines too but I would think not.
Good luck.

Indeed the only A310 operator in Egypt is Midwest Airlines. They currently have a single A310-300 (SU-MWA) which is used for flights out of CAI and other Egyptian airports. They used to operate a 2nd A310 (SU-MW) but that went to Iran Air in late 2003.

Back in 2000 they ordered 2 A320s (plus 2 options) but following 9/11 the order was cancelled, which was a big shame.
Details of their operations are very difficult to come by. Hopefully this news means they plan to get a 2nd A310 (or maybe some of their current captains have retired and they're simply looking for replacements).
Rani, Heliopolis Airlines became Flash Airlines and unfortunately they stopped flying in January 2004 after the crash in SSH.

I don't believe I forgot about AMC Airline. They operate an A310 (SU-BOW). I am quite surprised I forgot about them since they are the second largest Egyptian airline.
Anyway the airline owns an A300 and MD-83s as well as having a wetlease agreement with Travel Service and several Turkish airlines for 3 B738s with winglets.
I think it's much more likely that ad in Flight International was regarding expansion by AMC as last year they planned to expand their fleet with the addition of 2 more MD-83s and 1 A310 (according to their website), so this expansion might of been delayed till 2005.

p.s. Rani, if you google Midwest Airline you don't get the wesbite for this airline but you get that of the US airline with the same name. The Egyptian Midwest has no website.
