I don't believe I forgot about AMC Airline. They operate an A310 (SU-BOW). I am quite surprised I forgot about them since they are the second largest Egyptian airline.
Anyway the airline owns an A300 and MD-83s as well as having a wetlease agreement with Travel Service and several Turkish airlines for 3 B738s with winglets.
I think it's much more likely that ad in Flight International was regarding expansion by AMC as last year they planned to expand their fleet with the addition of 2 more MD-83s and 1 A310 (according to their website), so this expansion might of been delayed till 2005.

p.s. Rani, if you google Midwest Airline you don't get the wesbite for this airline but you get that of the US airline with the same name. The Egyptian Midwest has no website.
