Flying single engine wheel equipped aircraft over water beyond gliding distance of land with paying passengers on board is not only illegal in most places that I know of but stupid in my mind.

I am in the aircraft ferry business and I will not fly any single engine aircraft over water with nowhere to land except in the water.

However just because I am not willing to do so does not mean that others can not do it, but if it quits you will wish you had thought like me.

Good job Swoz. I heard the chance to fly a C-172 on charter flights from ZNZ and surrounding area, but after much thought, I decided I'd probly live longer building time flight instructing here in the states

Very modest swoz! You spent 21 hours in the water!!! From what I understood it was less than an hour - wow, you are the man! Well done again - you certainly deserve the accolades for your handling of the situation.

Holly Molly!! SWOZ, Jah Man, I have to say.... I did think about it a lot during some of those legs but I am so happy I didn;t have to live this. I would have made the mistake of trying to swim towards Chumbe. And make my passenger bleed a bit to attract the sharks towards them... eeer sorry, bad humour!!
