Info on FIRs in SADC?
Hi,
I'm looking for info on the SADC FIR's, particularly the northern ones (Luanda, Dar, Lusaka, Lilongwe, Kinshasa and the Indian Ocean Islands). I'll settle for a website with a map and frequencies but it would also be interesting to find out from pilots in the region what the real situation is. Does Kinshasa Info, for example, still operate? Are there enough transponder equipped aircraft around to make FIRs workable?
I'm a Google king, but I haven't been able to come up with anything even vaguely usable.
Thanks in advance,
S

Here you go. Here are some links to FLIP charts. The first one contains general / specific info for the Africa-Europe region. https://164.214.2.62/dafif/dafif_0410_ed6/plan/ap2.pdf
The second is the main page where I got to that link from. There is more good info in the Enroute supplement sections... https://164.214.2.62/products/digita...index.cfm#flip
Anyways, hope that helps......
