Hi there everyone,
I'm new to this thread but thinking about returning to SA.
approx 500 hours A320 family and around 720 hours total.
What are my chances with SAA?
Any comments/suggestions most welcome.

Just wondering if anyone has had some luck on this forum by typing their details?
Also wondering if there is any websites that list jobs in Africa similar to this website that we use here in Australia?

Cheers Flick

there is a reason

There is a reason Zanair is looking for pilots.

Be careful! All the pilots are leaving for a reason. Be careful if you are considering zanair.

fish Little Info

Hi Chance, Zazoo here,

I see you have Embraer time!!!

Have you tried IRS in lagos, hear they need crew and the pay is quite good. Not a bad outfit and they got this great aussie captain on their fokker100 (Reg:5NCEO)

Need contact, PM me.

If any of you have any turboprop or helicopter time you can also checkout Aerocontractors and Associated here in lagos too.

I know the chopper guys Aero and Bristow are kindda desperate right now.
Hope this helps.

And please don't ask me how to go about it, first give them a call and if they say hey, yes we are interested, then just come down to lagos spend three four days at the sheraton 5mins from airport and go see them.

You won't find any adds out but I know they are recruiting. Its like that in Lagos now.

B737 jobs in Africa

I would like to know if there are any possibilities for an JAA B737-300/900 rated pilot to find work in Africa. I tried Virgin Nigeria and Arik but with no response yet. Any suggestions?

With Africa's poor safety record, poor management, poor pay, a shortage of pilots in Europe and a descent license and rating - yes I remain confused?

PS: This string should be with the "jobs in Africa" existing string.

well yes you are right there is a shortage of experienced pilots in Europe.

I have no experience on the B737. Thats why I am looking for work in Africa.

Try Nationwide Airline - South Africa. They may be able to validate your license - they dont pay well but you will get the experience you need.

Dear confused,

Could you enlighten us down here in Africa about our poor safety record, poor management. Can't wait

Regarding the issue about poor pay, I have had a few offers around Europe even as I write this post and honestly speaking Sir, I'd rather remain here thank you very much.

Checkout the thread "whats your take home pay i.e." on pprune Terms and Endearments, its all there. Have you noticed on the thread that most foreign crew flying in these parts never post their earnings well your guess is as good as mine .

Ok enough said I'l just tuck my ego back ere it belongs.
