Overland, Lagos, Nigeria

Sighted on a ramp at DNMM (Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria): Two Beech 1900D regional airliners, with two more to come, supposedly. The aircraft have reportedly come directly from Raytheon in Wichita, Kansas.

The stated aim of Overland is to set up a regional airline serving some of the lesser airports within Nigeria. The airline is an offshoot of Mr Boyo's Landover, a fairly well-known Lagos-based handling company.

Since they arrived the aircraft have just been sitting there parked with no sign of any activity or any crews. Perhaps this is an opportunity for some of you guys with 1900 time who are looking for work. I heard the crews may be sourced from South Africa. I have no idea about pay and conditions offered.

Good luck!
