DHL Accident Beirut

DHL BAH has another hull loss. This is the second in like 6 years. Both have been during the landing phase. First one was a tail strike back in 2016 and now this hard landing in BEY!

Details are a bit vague at the moment but there is a bit of a pattern here it seems. The aircraft from the pictures looks like it is a write off.

Is anyone going to finally take any accountability there?!

A DHL International Aviation Boeing 767-300 freighter, registration A9C-DHAB performing flight ES-160 from Bahrain (Bahrain) to Beirut (Lebanon), touched down hard while landing in Beirut at about 19:15L (16:15Z). The crew received minor injuries, the aircraft sustained substantial damage.

Beirut Airport reported the aircraft suffered a hard landing on Sep 18th 2023 causing substantial damage to the aircraft's structure and causing minor injuries to the crew. The aircraft rolled out and taxied to the apron. An accident investigation commission was formed to determine the causes of the accident.

Not exactly sure what you are hinting at? Do you think there is a systemic safety issue with DHL?

A normal courtesy is to credit the source when pasting a large amount of their content.

Judging from the rather endearing hyphen in the flight number (a trademark of Avherald), I'd guess that's where it's from.

That is a hard NLG touchdown, not from a hard landing of the MLG. Not the first time the coke can has been crinkled.
