Ditching in France

A light aircraft ditched just off the Il de Rei on the 10 of July. The pilot managed to get out and was helped by people in a boat nearby. The aircraft was recovered on Wednesday and the photo in the paper showed it to be a C152.
Based at Poitiers, he was doing a bit of coast sightseeing when the engine quit. An earlier note in the paper said something about fuel, but no details.
