I wouldn’t waste fuel, it’s unprofessional, bad for the environment, and let’s face it, until you land it’s actually
your fuel not theirs, keeping you away from the edge of your seat if something unexpected happens on arrival.
However... no harm in taking an extra few tons with you every time you have any doubts, and these are doubtful times...
