Having spent most of my career outside of the uk fir and airline ops, and going by my experience of both in the last 4 years, it is hard to seperate the wheat from the chaff on any subject because the majority, or is it noisy minority of uk (brit) pilots are whinging gits.

The biggest irony of all is that the self abusers who have worked the hardest to join this special proffession seem to moan the hardest when they are asked to work and ,having struggled to free the bonds of mediocraty, seem to want to self distruct and turn a job i am proud to do into the terms and conditions of a bank clerk.

The term professional means more than strutting around with four bars, it infers that you are not bound by the rigid work practices of the slaving masses. ie get on with it and be thankful you have the health and good fortune to do what you do.

Dont turn it into an office in the air.

if you dont want to work your ass of dont go to easyjet.

get into a major or f@@k back from whence you came.

I can read a contract and write my name. end of story.

bring on the abuse.
