Easy have no intention of giving anybody "easy" commands - their selection process is as rigorous and demanding as any in the industry - new joiners will go through all the hoops that existing f/o's go through.
They recently advertised for Trainers and had zero response - my understanding is that response to the current advert has been "disappointing" - perhaps an indication that prospective pilots are concerned about the ongoing lifestyle/rostering issues (which the Company are apparently about to address).
At the present time easyJet are short of 44 Captains throughout the network, and are rumoured to be looking for a new Chief Pilot.
Interesting times for sure!
