Getting back to the original thread, having just read through it all, I would just like to correct "BUFFET" on his observations of the Mearsk guys and BABY.
I have already told several BABY FOs, the majority of the Maersk 737 guys were well experienced, however, there were a few low hour captains who had been turned down by EJ for DEC as they didnt have sufficient command time, and there were about 5 DEC that had only ever been FOs on the 737 and had a command on the CRJ only. Of those five, some had only had CRJ command time of about 500hrs.
Thats what happens when companies are desperate to get type rated guys.
There are senior FOs at baby (ex BMI) who have far more FO hours on the 737 than the Maersk guys and they have been completely forgotten and walked all over.
